NBA Draftkings Who I'm Playing Today 12/29/2015

Look at that, a quick view of what I'm playing tomorrow on Draftkings, a Daily Fantasy Sports site that is pay to play and win, what started out as a hobby has turned into some rather tense excitement for me lately, seems like a fun time to see what others think when they see my picks and compare it to what others see as their picks.

Point Guards
Matthew Dellavedova - Price $4,800
In case you didn't know, Kyrie Irving will NOT be playing on Tuesday vs the Denver Nuggets, without many other options at the PG spot for the Cavs I can see Delly getting a good 30+ minute run tomorrow vs the Nuggets. (baring a blow-out of course)

Jameer Nelson - Price $5,600
With Mudiay still sidelined I love Jameer Nelson, he's playing massive minutes and he is the primary ball handler, he can pull up from 3 and is just liquid value at the moment, he had a minor slump last week and averaged about 25 minutes, but I assume that was due to illness as last game he played an insane 43 minutes against the Thunder who defend opposing PGs really well. Nelson had 33 FPs that game.

Russell Westbrook - Price $10,400
Every night you can count on Westbrook to put up 50 FPs, no matter what I like him since chances are you're going to use him as your big money guy. You can't go wrong with Westbrook and the price tag isn't even too bad for me actually. (i'd pay $11,000)

Shooting Guards
Will Barton - Price $6,900
With Danillo Gallinari sidelined until at least Jan 2nd, Will Barton is jacking up shots and making them. averaging 15+ shot attempts per night Barton's lowest scoring total was 14 last week. If he's making his shots he can easily net you 45+ FPs, but even without it I see him as a solid 30+ FPs pick.

Khris Middleton - Price $6,100

Jason Kidd seems to now have 100% with Middleton at the SG position, he's playing 35+ minutes a night now while shooting a gaudy percent from 3 point range this year. He's a scorer first, but lately he's been contributing everywhere making him invaluable.

Courtney Lee - Price $4,300

Matt Barnes is suspended, if the Grizzlies feel they need to play a smaller ball line-up (god knows why vs the heat) still he may see an uptick in minutes and if he's sinking his shot he can be a good 30+ source of FPs, however check who's going to start in place of Matt Barnes, if Zach Randolph is starting it may be a very slow paced game.

Small Forwards
LeBron James - Price $9,600

The king is always an option to pick and with his price below 10k i feel really comfortable with this play, though he smashed dreams last game vs Portland most of his energy was spent coming off a road game the night before with the breakneck fast Warriors. I expect a bounce back from the king, especially if Kyrie is out and if at some point he has to handle bringing the ball up past half court.

Kevin Durant - Price $10,000
Same argument with Russell here, except I love him vs the Bucks! The Bucks struggle defending the SF position and with an elite scorer I wouldn't be stunned if Durant has 40 pts to a song of 55 FPs and his teamate has 15 assists to his 55 FPs,

Jeff Green - Price $5,400

With Matt Barnes out Jeff Green will likely see a major boost in minutes at the SF position tomorrow, I like him as the last time he had to play 35+ minutes he dropped 49 FPs, however be warned Jeff Green is as streaky as it gets, if his shot isn't falling don't be surprised if you just spent $5,400 on a 15 FPs player.

Power Forwards
Chris Bosh - Price $7,200

Can I say it right now? At the moment I'd pay $8,500 for Bosh and still think that's a steal! He is the primary scorer on the team and is chucking up 16+ shots per night! He has a long-range game and even has to play center if Hassan Whiteside is having defensive lapses. Love him everywhere right now.

Zach Randolph - Price $5,900
If he is starting tomorrow I'm taking him VS the Heat who have struggled immensely against big men of late. (Anthony Davis, Nikola Vucevic, Brook Lopez) without Matt Barnes we may see Coach Joerger shift to a larger line-up given the recent struggles of the Heat front court.

Keneth Faried - Price $6,100

I hate Faried on some nights and love him others, he's a guy who can give me 45 FPs and then 12 FPs the next day, between him and Brandon Knight, he is one of only two players who have been infuriating to me. I like him tonight against Cleveland, and with Gallinari out he may be asked to take on the scoring role if no one is hitting shots on the perimeter.

Centers
Marc Gasol - Price $7,200

The Heat have struggled to guard strong centers the last 2 games as Vucevic and Lopez smoked them for 40+ FPs each, Gasol should be no different. If Whiteside is having his defensive lapses then Gasol will be shooting for 50+ FPs tonight and with a thinned line-up with Barnes out and if Randolph is starting then I love Gasol playing 35+ minutes.

Hassan Whiteside - Price $7,000

I still love him, he's still playing about 36 minutes a night, he's still a rebounding machine and against the Grizzlies, as long as he plays 35+ minutes he's always a 15+ rebound and 5+ block threat, that right there is at least 28 FPs.

Al Horford - Price $6,300
Dwight Howard just seems entirely un-interested playing for the rockets right now, Omar Asik finished with 10 Pts and 8 Reb with 2 BS to a tune of 23.5 FPS (Asik cost $3,300 that night and only played 22 mins) However Horford is a 30+ minute guy and can easily be the best man on the team next to Millsap, as long as this game stays close Horford is probably my favorite player especially since I feel many will be playing Gasol/Whiteside.

Sleeper Picks
Nikola Jokic - C - Price $4,700
Really risky, if he plays 25+ minutes then he's easily a 28+ FPs guy and if he plays 30+ minutes then he's a 35+ FPs guy, the issue is that he's stuck on the bench and sometimes gets 15 minutes even though he has constantly been out-performing the starter Lauvergne he needs to start fighting for a spot soon because once Nurkic returns he will become completely irrelevant. I like him in tournaments.

Iman Shumpert - SG - Price $3,800

He has had a rough shooting percentage the last few games and no one will probably be playing him, but Shumpert is still playing 28 minutes when he's ice cold. If he can get his shot to fall a little better I feel he could be a 30 FPs player. However since most of his points will come from 3 pointers or steals it's a curiosity to see what you'll get with Shumpert.
